Nickname: Orca Username: cuithil Draik: Ainyalin Position: Grey Guard Duties: Coercing art from DC’ers, Polishing the Hall of Arts Contact: Neomail, or Private Message About: Behind the codename 'Orca' is a 15 year old sociopath that is probably best known for the all-consuming animosity between myself and my art muse. This unfortunate resentment is the reason behind of all my unfinished art works, thus in an attempt to resolve the issue, I will dedicate some time to my neglected muse and Orca’s quirks. I often indulge in art and writing at the most inappropriate moments. What I classify as writing usually refers to the shameless abuse of the English language. When I first came aboard the Draik Clan back in May 2004, the amazing creativity which transformed the obnoxiously adorable draik-pixels into tangible characters egged me on. Without a background of formal art training, I had to learn my way around by sketching endlessly on the doubtful subject of dragon art. I mention this because my characters seem to lack the scales, fins and about every other feature that makes a dragon, a fire-breathing reptile. Therefore should something disastrous come of my unhealthy addiction with draiks and dragons, I shall heap the blame without any conscience, much like how I use my muse as a convenient excuse. But that is best left for another time. I have somehow found a way to rationalize how something as important as my assignments can be left untouched whilst I squander away my limited ‘free’ time in the Clan. While the epic battle between the appalling assignments and Orca is raging, I have disturbing plans which involve a violent demise and a bonfire. Enough said. In the same year as the Draiks made their little début, I chanced upon the Clan in one of its first few incarnations. Since then, I am a self-confessed lurker on its borders. However, The Art of Trading and Gaming eluded me on Neopets and condemning myself to a centaury of debt was not my ideal agenda for the next millennia. Therefore, I attribute the mystery that is my first draik to fortune and leave the rest for speculation. I was offered a moderator’s position in 2005 which, having ascertained that it was not a disguised sandwich, chose Grey Guard with an unfeasible amount of enthusiasm. Along with the job, I do on occasion try very hard not to sound inane in all my social endeavors, despite being about 3 steps above the mold in wisdom and witty conversation. Orca is always available to listen to any tales of malady and woe, questions relating to art issues or otherwise, or if you simply want to quibble, drop my a PM.
