I absolutely love building/managing websites, and teaming up with people to do so. In those few spare hours after work and in weekends you will often find me online, working on the Draik Clan, roleplaying, drawing (dragons!) or reading stories people have posted. And when time alows it, I sneak of to play a game, be it Fable, World of Warcraft... anything magical. That sums up me... but I figure you'd like to know more about what I have to do with the Draik Clan, dont ya? Ah well, here goes; I still remember quite clearly how the Draik Clan came to be. In the summer of 2002 I was just your typical Neopets player, playing a few minutes a day in those rare spare hours, and not really understanding much of anything. I've always been a fan of dragons and an avind drawer, and when Draiks came out... well... "weeeeegottahovedragonyesyes!". In december, I had saved up just enough to buy a Fire Draik MP (which where around 300K those days...), and Dracahz was born. After those first days of happiness, something began to nag at me... I had a dragon. Now what? I'd love to have him interact with other Draiks, but its not like you can type in 'Draik' in the neopets Search engine and get a list of all existing Draiks. And even if you could, how would you know which where active, interesting, nice to roleplay with? Thats how the Draik Clan was born. I set up a list of Draik's names on Dracahz's petpage, and began contacting every soul I saw in the Draik Beauty Contest (drawing competition) section. One of the first to join me was Michi/Darkkitsune, and together with her and Pyowolf/Sephirosu the list of names evolved into an interactive website. After 4 years the site has gone through many free servers, many forms, and had plenty of downtimes. Oddly enough, no matter how many times it broke, there was always the call for it to come back, and always many lovely people prepared to help me repair it. Even though Michi has moved onto other things in life, there is no lack of wonderful admins that keep this place together and make sure it stays a fun place to spend time in. The site as you see it now is the 9th version of the Draik Clan, and 3 new admins have stepped up to strengthen the team. Together with Aqua, Rose, Chesh, Sephirosu and all the Mods, I'm certain that this very odd site will even survive the years to come.
