The Clan is not ruled by one single person, and never will be. Various groups have taken charge over various parts of the site, and chances are high that you'll encounter at least a handfull of members that belong to one of these groups.
While the Elders (the admins) hold the ultimate power, there are various Moderators that keep an eye on the site, and you can approach any of them when you have a problem or complaint. These people are listed in the Crew page if you ever need to find one.

The rest of this page will try to clearly explain the special Clan Hierarchy to you though. Everybody is marked accordingly in the Forums with a title, visible to all members, and to Guests when on the Guest forums.
Below you will find these groups, described briefly, and ordered from most to least important.
HOME MEMBER HQ GUESTS FORUM STUDIO LIBRARY TRIBES CONTESTS KOROTH CAVERNS ABOUT US
Rank Name Description Access / Power[s]
(1) Clan Elders
(Admins)
The Rulers of the Clan, creators and upholders, allpowerful and always willing to share their wisdom. These select few can access all parts of the Clan realms, decide who gets punished, who gets rewarded, who wins, loses, who gets in, and who gets locked out forever. They are ultimately responsible for what happens on the site, and act accordingly. Allpowerful.
(2) White Guard
(Global Moderators)
While the Elders are watching over all of us ('us' members) from a higher level, the White Guard walks amongst us and acts when needed. These noble creatures protect, intervene and advise where needed, and report dire matters to the Elders. - All full member powers
- Editting, Moving and Deleting on all Forums
- Posting/Deleting on Shoutbox
- Permission to 'warn' in absence of an Elder
(3) Grey Guard
(Art Guides)
These Guards lurk in the shadows, forever watching the Artists amongst us, to protect, but also to pursue. They keep a watchful eye on all Images posted, searching for copies and thefts, on both Clan and Neopian Lands. While required to report to the White Guard when problems arise, these few have the power to advise and lend a hand on a close level. However, when they do not heed their Code of Conduct (and delete or flame, instead of edit and/or add an explanation), they will lose their position, and any future chance to be promoted to the White Guard, forever. - All full member powers
- Editting only on the Art forums
(3) Fellowship of Aberis
(Roleplay Guides)
This group of enthousiasts exist outside of the Guard system, and does not seek to punish or protect. Rather, they are quite adept at the art of Roleplay, and their talents attrackted the attention of the Guards/Elders, earning themselves this rare membership. Instead of being a superior group, these Aberians (eh? Aberans? heee...) act as Guides and Teachers to the roleplayers amongst us, adding supportive critisism only where it is direly needed, answering questions with utmost patience, and directing topics to their proper locations when lost. - All full member powers
- Editting and Moving in the Roleplay forums
(4) Black Guard
(Watchers)
Bringers of Death. Members of this group usually keep to themselves, since their task is rather grim. They keep an eye on the memberlist, and report the 'dead' (frozen draiks, morphed, stolen, etc.) to the Elders. They never lose sight of what the Banished or Blacklisted are up to. Those that excel in this job, are usually promoted to Grey or White Guard. - All full member powers
- Priority when mailing an Elder
(5) Sages These wonderful people where, at one time in DC history, part of the Crew. However, due to personal circumstances, they are now retired. These Sages can still be seen around the Clan lands, participating in events or simply chatting. Even though they hold the same position as any Draik Clan member, they still know a lot more about the Clan itself then anybody else, and never mind answering questions about it. - A special place in our hearts ;)
- All full member powers
- Priority when mailing an Elder
(6) Clan Members Finally, the members. We are the ones that inhabit the Territory, we protect and are protected, one for all, and all for one (*gag* so corny *gag*). Members roam around enjoying the site, but are in a rather special position when it comes to the Guests; each Draik Clan member instinctively protects the DC borders, and has the power to act very much like a White Guard in the Borderlands/Bazaar, thus keeping the visitors to our regions in line. Also, from this group, Guards are chosen, and members can form Tribes and create hierarchies of their own as well. Refer to the Tribes section for more information on this subject. - All full member powers; Shoutbox posting access, Oekaki posting/drawing access, Ability to Post/Create topics, and Editting/Moving/Deleting powers in all Guest forums.
(7) Outlanders
(Guests)
Those unable to resist the magnetic attraction of the Draik Clan... but do not own a Draik. This group is high in numbers, and therefor closely watched by all Draik Clan members. - Posting on Guest forums
(8) Banished
(Minor rulebreakers)
The ones that break the Rules described in the Tome of Laws. Their accounts are blocked for various amounts of times, and are forced to apologise or prove themselves in the Hall of Judgement to regain access to their accounts. - Posting on Guest forums
(9) The Damned
(Major rulebreakers)
(often Blacklisted)
The ones that can never prove themselves enough again. These few have passed the point of no return and will forever be shunned, marked as a warning to others in the Blacklist/Dungeons. If proven to harass people on the Guest forums, their IP adress will be blocked as well. None.
